Who
Professional equestrian trainer for over 30 years.
Sebastian Guglielmino came to the United States from Argentina in the year 2000. He trained with top international trainers while in Argentina, and his success at competition and training horses and riders has continued in United States. His lifelong passion for competition and for training horses and riders began while watching his own father ride in endurance competition. His father, Roberto Guglielmino represented Argentina in the world championship in Dubai in 1998, and it was his father’s successful competition and artful teaching that fueled Sebastian’s own passion for competition and show jumping.
Through his years of riding, Sebastian has trained with top Olympic and Grand Prix riders, such as Frank Chapot and currently Anne Kursinski. His years of riding and training experience and his success in the show jumping world is the foundation for his skill in teaching other disciplines, including equitation and hunter riders.
Experienced
Sebastian is experienced at training young horses and riding them to their potential. He firmly believes that success in flatwork in any discipline is the foundation for developing a horse’s solid pace and jumping. He has been successfully showing his horses in Wellington (WEF), Saugerties (HITS), Lake Placid, Hampton Classic, Vermont, Princeton, among numerous others.
As a professional trainer and founder of Chestnut Unlimited LLC, Sebastian trains his clients’ horses as well as his own. Through many years as a professional show jumper and trainer of both riders and horses, Sebastian has developed a unique ability and talent for matching riders with suitable horses. His continuing passion is to find or develop that compatibility between horse and rider that makes for successful competitors and confident, enthusiastic equestrians.
